"... and the sheep follow him because they know his voice."

Reading:
Imagine if Jesus came to your church this week. Do you recognize her? When I was young, had said "yes" to believe that he would have a white coat, wide and resemble the picture of my Sunday school class.
Now, I'm sure he would have mixed with us.
But what clothes she wear? Some might say that Jesus would show suit and tie. Others would insist that a polo shirt and khaki pants. I think I might show up with a shirt and jeans (denim), depending on what others were using. He apparently felt comfortable with any group in which it was.
The question is academic, because the Bible says it will be evident when Jesus returns (read the words of Jesus in Matthew 24 :23-27). However, the question is valuable because it takes me to the point of longing to know Jesus so well that it would recognize no matter how you see or what to wear.
It is possible to meet someone you've never seen. I began to know Jesus by reading the Bible. I love reading the New Testament, both the stories of Jesus' life and teachings, such as those who built the church after his resurrection. But if I close the Bible and put it on my nightstand and I do not nothing else, I only know about Jesus.
Instead, I choose to know Jesus personally. I think that is possible and that is important.
Then, just as you would with a friend, try to understand what Jesus thinks about some things. Their views and values \u200b\u200bare important to me. When I read your words I try to feel your heart. Develop an intimacy with Jesus takes practice and honesty as well as in any intimate relationship.
a busy morning, I left the breakfast dishes, laundry, and deadlines that were approaching and I sat at the table. My hands around a cup of coffee. Deep breath and finally rest after the rush to prepare for five children school. In that quiet moment, I imagine Jesus sitting at the table with me. He looked a bit the pictures I've seen, with dark hair, a face tender and loving eyes. He was not impatient but I paid full attention. It was something divine.
I recognized because I spent time looking to meet you. In my desire to know Jesus, He continues to unfold more. Our verse for today is John 10:4. Jesus warned the religious leaders of those days as those that separate the people from the truth. However, Jesus loved people and cared about them fondly, as a shepherd cares for his sheep. Jesus said of himself: "... the sheep follow him because they know his voice."
The verse indicates a close relationship, to know and trust, between the shepherd and sheep. All that was needed was a word ... the sound of your voice ... and she knew it was him
If Jesus entered the room, and we were looking the other way, would you need to turn? Or would recognize his voice? I hope we smile and nod, saying: "Jesus came!"
Dear Jesus, I long to know you so well you can recognize your voice in the noise of this world. Help me to learn new ways know you better. I pray for wisdom and discernment to read your word. In your name, Amen.
