ago few years, I sat down to chat with a beautiful young woman. She cried at the thought of all that God had given him: a loving husband, a precious baby, friends, a new home that his mother had helped to decorate ... and how his life had changed in just six months .
Although he had all these blessings, she felt empty. She did not know why, nor could he describe that feeling. Several friends had joked with her and is adjudicated to hormonal changes, saying that it would pass.
But it was not.
gradually began to distance themselves from her husband, feeling his love and not fulfilling. doubt and insecurity assailed her. Perhaps he was not the love of his life. Perhaps married too young. Perhaps erred in marrying a man who may not love her enough.
Then she met a man who said the things she wanted her husband to tell him. And wrapped in a web of lies, turned to him.
Her friends suspected that something was wrong, as this young woman began to stop going to various church activities. But they insisted on inviting her to a women's retreat, and to appease them, she decided to go.
Throughout the retreat, she had erected walls to keep everyone began to crumble away. I was the speaker for this retreat. On Saturday night, she broke down and asked me to get together alone, to confess his sin.
This unfortunate woman was desperate and wanted to know what my secret, why I looked so happy and satisfied with my life, so sure of God's love.
That weekend, she realized that what his heart longed for was not the love and attention of a man, but the love of God.
How true! Many of us wasted much time trying to find love, acceptance and satisfaction in what the world has to offer. But all this takes effect only temporary. What our soul yearns for is eternal, and only God can supply it.
And as we continue to seek this fullness through other sources, we still feel empty and unfulfilled. pure and eternal love, the only kind of love that truly satisfies, from God.
Dear Lord Please help me see my marriage as a sacred gift. Help me to stand and behave in a way that traiga gloria a Tu Nombre y gozo y paz a mi hogar. Gracias, Señor, porque aún cuando yo cometo errores, Tú eres poderoso para perdonar y restaurarme. En el Nombre de Jesús. Amén.
Steps for implementation:
Beloved friend, can we make a pact together? Can we promise to be the kind of woman who recognizes the deceits of the Enemy and it is careful not to fall into temptation when it becomes vulnerable because of their need to feel loved?
