Because of pollution in the human heart, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from within and defile the man "(Mark 7:15 b, 21-23, NIV).

Ugh That itself is a list of problems! But why Jesus took the time to list every one of those bad things? We know that no word is wasted in the Bible and that behind this list that the Savior said to the crowd had a purpose. Maybe there were people in the group that looked good on the outside but their hearts were not clean.
